Regular Season Round 19: Slask 2 Wroclaw - Gimbasket Wroclaw 59-50

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (10-9) won against at home 12th ranked Gimbasket Wroclaw (1-18) 59-50 on Saturday. Gimbasket Wroclaw trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 18-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 50-59 at the end of the game. Slask 2 Wroclaw dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimbasket Wroclaw to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Gimbasket Wroclaw 47-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Gimbasket Wroclaw was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Stanferd Sanny (185-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Artur Wnetrzak (193-95) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Slask 2 Wroclaw's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side power forward Maciej Krowczynski (193-94) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) scored 12 points. Newly promoted Slask 2 Wroclaw maintains seventh place in Group B with 10-9 record. Gimbasket Wroclaw lost their ninth game in a row. Gimbasket Wroclaw at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Slask 2 Wroclaw will face Cieszyn (#11) on the road in the next round. Gimbasket Wroclaw will play against Sudety and hope to win that game.
