Very important is a home loss of third ranked Panionios (13-5) against sixth ranked Aris (8-10) on Saturday night. Host Panionios was defeated by Aris in a tough game in Athens 63-68. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 19-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Ioannis Athineou (194-88) scored 16 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Michalis Pelekanos (198-81) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest.
