Regular Season Round 22: Montbrison - Quimper 77-93

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Quimper UJAP (11-10) defeated on the road 17th ranked Montbrison (5-17) 93-77 on Saturday. Quimper UJAP looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Naturalized Mali forward Tahirou Sani (203-85) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. point guard Etienne Plateau (192-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals. Guard Benjamin Tillon (189-85) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Regis Aubry (199-82) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quimper UJAP have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Montbrison lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. Quimper UJAP will face UB Chartres (#10) at home in the next round. Montbrison will play against La Rochelle (#6) and hope to win that game.
