Another exciting game for Alkar Sinj (9-5) which played in Rijeka against Kvarner (8-6). Fourth ranked Alkar Sinj won 67-60. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 19-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. Alkar Sinj outrebounded Kvarner 30-19 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Luka Zitko (196-81) scored 15 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Toni Vitali (201-91) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Slovenian guard Bojan Krivec (188-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) responded with 17 points and guard Jakov Mustapic (192-94) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alkar Sinj moved-up to third place, which they share with Zabok. Kvarner lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Jolly. Alkar Sinj will play against KK Zabok (#3) in Zabok in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kvarner will play on the road against Krizevci and hopes to get back on the winning track.
