There was no surprise in Mexicali where 7th ranked Huracanes (21-19) were defeated by third ranked Soles (31-9) 71-56. The game without a history. Soles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Huracanes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Alex Perez Kaufmann (191-93) notched 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American center Andrew Naymick (209-85, agency: Warren Sports International) supported him with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks.
