Regular Season Round 19: Wisla Krakow - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 48-75

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Wisla Krakow (4-14) was outplayed at home by seventh ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (8-10) 75-48 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tur Bielsk Pdl.. Wisla Krakow was better in second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Wisla Krakow to just 6 points in first quarter. Tur Bielsk Pdl. forced 23 Wisla Krakow turnovers and outrebounded them 41-24 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wisla Krakow was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Andrzej Misiewicz (198-84, college: Daytona Beach CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kamil Zakrzewski (195-77) helped adding 22 points. Four Tur Bielsk Pdl. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jakub Zaczek (202-96) responded with 7 points and forward Przemyslaw Urbanek (197-89) scored 6 points. Wisla Krakow's coach Marcin Kekus gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Tur Bielsk Pdl. maintains seventh place in Group C with 8-10 record. Wisla Krakow lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face higher ranked AZS AGH Alstom (#3) in Krakow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against Rosa II Radom (#6) and hope to win that game.
