Rather expected game when 9th ranked West Coast Waves (1-23) were crushed on the road by seventh ranked Sydney Uni Flames (10-14) 79-54. The game without a history. Sydney Uni Flames led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sydney Uni Flames forced 25 West Coast Waves turnovers and had a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by West Coast Waves' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Lauren King (182-84) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Sydney Uni Flames players scored in double figures. Sydney Uni Flames' coach Karen Dalton felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Darcy Garbin (185-94) answered with 10 points and center Zoe Harper (191-88, college: Minnesota) added 9 points in the effort for West Coast Waves.
