Regular Season Round 22: Lourdes - La Rochelle 70-64

We should mention about the upset which took place in Tarbes, where higher ranked La Rochelle (13-8) lost to thirteenth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (9-12) in a road game 64-70 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of La Rochelle. Lourdes-Tarbes forced 21 La Rochelle turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Steven Ricard (197-90) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Raphael Giaimo (210-89, college: Seward County CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach Alex Casimiri used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jarryd Cole (204-88, college: Iowa) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and British forward Andrew Thomson (205-84, college: Catawba) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to twelfth place. Loser La Rochelle dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Lourdes-Tarbes will face higher ranked Sorgues BC (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
