Regular Season Round 30: Dalhousie - St.Francis X. 46-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked St.Francis X.'s (10-8) road victory over 4th ranked Dalhousie (8-10) 67-46 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 21 points. St.Francis X. dominated on the defensive end, holding Dalhousie to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a great shooting night for St.Francis X. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. Forward Lia St.Pierre (183) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Kolbi Roper (188) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Courtney Thompson (175) with 12 points and forward Rebecca Nuttall (178) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. St.Francis X. moved-up to second place. Dalhousie lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. St.Francis X. will face Varsity Reds (#7) in Fredericton in the next round where they are favorite. Dalhousie will play at home against Acadia and hope to win that game.
