Second Stage Round 3: Milano - Triestina 44-81

Another interesting game for Triestina (1-2) which played on the court of Milano (0-3). Triestina crushed hosts 81-44. The game without a history. Triestina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Milano to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Triestina dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Milano's 26. They outrebounded Milano 40-27 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Hungarian forward Anna Vida (185-85, agency: Interperformances) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Alice Policastro (180-86) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Triestina players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Michela Frantini (175-83) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and center Alessandra Calastri (193-85) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triestina will play against Genova at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Milano will play against Udine (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
