Very expected game in Anjo where 9th ranked Aishin Wings (6-17) were defeated by second ranked Denso Iris (19-4) 57-50 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Denso Iris made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Minami Iju (168-90) helped adding 12 points. The former international swingman Tanaka Masaki (171-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Denso Iris have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-4 record having just two points less than leader JX Sunflowers. Loser Aishin Wings keep the ninth position with 17 games lost. Denso Iris will face Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Aishin Wings will play on the road against Chanson V-M in Shizuoka and hope to win that game.
