The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Sendai 89ers' (14-18) road loss to sixth ranked Aomori Watts (16-16) 66-79 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aomori Watts. Sendai 89ers' coach Shuto Kawachi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aomori Watts have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-16 record. Loser Sendai 89ers dropped to the eighth place with 18 games lost. Aomori Watts will face higher ranked Iwate Big Bulls (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sendai 89ers will play against Niigata Albirex (#5) and hope to win that game.
