The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Sagesse (#3) and Homenetm. B (#8). Homenetm. B was defeated at home 78-84 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Homenetm. B was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Sagesse looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Chris Daniels (212-84, college: Limoges) who scored 31 points. The former international swingman Elie Roustom (197-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sagesse players scored in double figures. American guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati, agency: Interperformances) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Terrence Leather (204-81, college: S.Florida) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Sagesse (4-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with Byblos. Newly promoted Homenetm. B keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Hoops. Sagesse is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Bejjeh (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Homenetm. B will play against Tadamon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
