Important game to mention about took place in Montegranaro. Fifteenth ranked Sutor Montegranaro (6-13) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 13th ranked Granarolo BO (8-11) 86-84 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-20. But Granarolo BO won second period 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Naturalized Belgian guard Dimitri Lauwers (187-79) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists and the other American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) added 16 points in the effort for Granarolo BO. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sutor Montegranaro moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Vanoli CR. Granarolo BO at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Cimberio VA and Giorgo Tesi PT. Sutor Montegranaro will play against bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (#16) on the road in the next round. Granarolo BO will play against the league's leader Armani Milano (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
