Second Stage Round 3: Cagliari V. - Biassono 65-47

There was no surprise when Biassono (0-3) lost on the road to Virtus Cagliari (2-1) 65-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. Virtus Cagliari led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Virtus Cagliari forced 24 Biassono turnovers. It was a good game for Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (182-88) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Carolina Scibelli (182-86) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Virtus Cagliari players scored in double figures. Forward Francesca Frigerio (177-95) answered with 13 points and point guard Giulia Fumagalli (166-95) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Biassono. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Virtus Cagliari will face Valmadrera (#5) on the road in the next round. Biassono will play against Alghero and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
