The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Rosa Radom's (10-8) home victory over 7th ranked Asseco (8-10) 72-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Rosa Radom. Asseco was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Asseco 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Korie Lucious (180-89, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 13 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Russian Fedor Dmitriev (204-84, agency: Alti Sport) with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) scored 3 points and 9 assists. Rosa Radom moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Energa Czarni and Anwil. Asseco at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Rosa Radom will face league's second-placed PGE Turow in Zgorzelec in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Asseco will play at home against Slask Wroclaw (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
