There was a minor upset in Reykjavik where 7th ranked Stjarnan (7-11) was defeated by ninth ranked IR (7-11) 106-99. The game without a history. IR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Hjalti Fridriksson (201-89) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. International point guard Justin Shouse (181-81, college: Mercyhurst) replied with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Junior Hairston (203-84, college: Towson, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Stjarnan. Five IR and four Stjarnan players scored in double figures. IR moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Stjarnan. Stjarnan lost fifth consecutive game. IR's next round opponent will be KFI (#10) in Isafjordur.
