Bottom-ranked Hod Hasharon managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged twelfth-ranked Elitzur Yavne 90-87. Elitzur Yavne was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 26-18 third quarter run of Hod Hasharon. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Elitzur Yavne was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Igor Mayor (198-93) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Daniel Aidan (204-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American center Darrin Williams (208-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) in the effort for Elitzur Yavne. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hod Hasharon (4-15) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Macc.B.Yaakov. Elitzur Yavne at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ironi K-A. Hod Hasharon will play against higher ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elitzur Yavne will play against Kiryat Tivon in Kiryat Tivon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
