Regular Season Round 21: TTU - Tarvas 56-63

An interesting game for BC Rakvere (18-6) which played road game in Tallinn against 4th placed TTU (11-12). Third ranked BC Rakvere managed to get a 7-point victory 63-56. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TTU won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TTU was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Gregory Jenkins (206-82, college: Iona) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian guard Giedrius Gustas (190-80, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Kiur Akenparg (190-88) with 16 points and power forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. BC Rakvere have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-6 record having just -1 point less than leader TU/Rock. TTU lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. BC Rakvere will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TTU will play at home against KK Hito (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
