Regular Season Round 23: CFBB - Pontoise 61-77

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 23th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Pontoise (7-16) 77-61 on Tuesday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 39-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Pontoise forced 19 CFBB turnovers. Strangely CFBB outrebounded Pontoise 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Cameroonian guard Ralph Temgoua (196, college: St.Lawrence) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Serbian power forward Milos Pavlovic (210-84) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Pontoise players scored in double figures. Stephane Gombauld (202-97) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (198-96) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for CFBB in the defeat. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Pontoise maintains fifteenth place with 7-16 record. CFBB lost their twentieth third game in a row. They still close the standings. Pontoise will meet at home higher ranked JA Vichy (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against the league's leader Monaco (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
