Regular Season Round 33: Nitra - Inter Bratislava 73-104

An interesting game for Inter Bratislava (24-6) which played road game in Nitra against 3rd placed Nitra (20-9). First ranked Inter Bratislava had an easy win 104-73. Inter Bratislava outrebounded Nitra 36-23 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for naturalized Serbian point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 assists. The former international forward Andrej Kuffa (203-90) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (190-90) answered with 19 points and American forward Elton Frazier (198-88, college: Canisius) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nitra. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nitra's coach Lubomir Urban gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-6 record. Nitra at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face Handlova (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nitra will play against Rieker KN in Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
