The game in Gdynia was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Slask Wroclaw (8-11) played at the court of eighth ranked Asseco (9-10). Asseco defeated Slask Wroclaw 64-52 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Asseco. Slask Wroclaw managed to win fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asseco dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Slask Wroclaw's 22. It was a great evening for American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) helped adding 11 points. At the losing side the former international point guard Robert Skibniewski (182-83) responded with 8 points and 4 assists and American center Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Asseco moved-up to seventh place. Slask Wroclaw lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Asseco will meet at home league's leader Stelmet ZG in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask Wroclaw will play against the league's second-placed PGE Turow (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
