Regular Season Round 37: Sundsvall - Solna 89-88

Sixth-ranked Solna Vikings (13-17) were very close to win a game against fourth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (17-13) on Friday. Sundsvall Dragons managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 27-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Mats Levin (189-77) answered with 20 points and 7 assists and the former international swingman Jim Nystrom (194-82, college: Georgia Tech) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Solna Vikings. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sundsvall Dragons maintains fourth place with 17-13 record. Solna Vikings lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons are looking forward to face LF Basket (#7) in Lulea in the next round. Solna Vikings will play at home against Eco Orebro and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
