An interesting game for Kutaisi (9-3) which hosted in Kutaisi 4th placed Batumi (6-6). Third ranked Kutaisi had an easy win 90-73. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Kutaisi outrebounded Batumi 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Kutaisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Azerbaijani guard Zaur Pashayev (188-83) stepped up and scored 29 points and 7 assists for the winners and the former international Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds. Kutaisi maintains third place with 9-3 record behind leader Dinamo Tbilisi. Batumi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Kutaisi will play against MIA (#5) in Tbilisi in the next round. Batumi will play on the road against Sokhumi in Tbilisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
