Second Stage Round 4: BrGU - Victoria 70-55

The game between Top Four teams took place in Brest. Second ranked host BrGU COR Victoria (7-1) defeated 4th ranked Victoria (0-8) 70-55. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BrGU COR Victoria's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-13 extending their advantage to 15 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 32. BrGU COR Victoria forced 24 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Center Alesia Lalovich (188-79) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Forward Natalia Rusak (180-84) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Four BrGU COR Victoria players scored in double figures. Forward Hanna Tsarevich (178-95) produced 23 points and Tatsiana Khadzko (175-96) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BrGU COR Victoria have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Berezina. Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. BrGU COR Victoria will again meet at home Victoria (#4) in the next round. Victoria will have a break next round.
