Regular Season Round 19: Guadalajara - Caceres 67-65

The most exciting game of round 19 in the LEB Silver took place in Guadalajara. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Caceres Basket (10-8) to third ranked CB Guadalajara (11-6) 67-65 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-65. CB Guadalajara dominated on the defensive end, holding Caceres Basket to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Caceres Basket 37-20 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Eduardo Duran (190-91) chipped in 13 points. Four CB Guadalajara players scored in double figures. point guard Jose Antonio Marco (179-89) produced 21 points and 5 assists and power forward Miguel Montanana (206-80) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. CB Guadalajara moved-up to second place, which they share with Palma. Caceres Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. CB Guadalajara is looking forward to face league's second-placed Palma in S'Arenal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caceres Basket will play on the road against Askatuak (#13) in San Sebastian and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
