Regular Season Round 15: Alkar Sinj - Zabok 87-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked KK Zabok (9-6) against fourth ranked Alkar Sinj (10-5) on Saturday night. Visiting KK Zabok was defeated by Alkar Sinj in Sinj 87-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Alkar Sinj. KK Zabok was better in fourth quarter 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alkar Sinj dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zabok's 32. They outrebounded KK Zabok 29-14 including a 22-6 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ivan Mikulic (194-91) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 4 assists. Bosnian center Mato Peraica (203-81) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Alkar Sinj players scored in double figures. Karlo Lebo (193-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) came up with 17 points and guard Marko Raic (192-87, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points respectively for KK Zabok in the defeat. KK Zabok's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Alkar Sinj moved-up to second place, which they share with GKK Sibenik. KK Zabok at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Kvarner 2010 and Jolly. Alkar Sinj will play against league's leader KK Zagreb on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Zabok will play against Krizevci and hopes to get back on the winning track.
