An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Umea. First ranked Umea faced 3rd ranked Malbas. Host Umea (11-1) smashed guests from Malmo (4-5) 94-71. The game without a history. Umea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Umea outrebounded Malbas 36-21 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Palestinian guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist) who scored 20 points and 9 assists. Swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) chipped in 23 points. Krayem is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Umea players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Malbas' coach Henrik Svensson gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Umea have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Malbas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with five games lost.
