Everything went according to plan in Mikawa where second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (23-12) beat 10th ranked Shimane Magic (7-26) 86-75. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hamamatsu Phoenix shot 18 for 24 from the free-throw line, while Shimane Magic only scored one point from the stripe. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Aki Chambers (190-90, college: Cal Merced) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and forward Adrian Thomas (200-87, college: Miami, FL) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hamamatsu Phoenix maintains second place with 23-12 record having three points less than leader Akita NH. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the tenth position with 26 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix's next round opponent will be again Shimane Magic (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game.
