Second Stage Round 6: Sanda - Brahe Basket 54-75

Rather expected game in Huskvarna where bottom-ranked Sanda Basket (0-6) was rolled over by seventh ranked Brahe Basket (3-4) 75-54 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-54. Brahe Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 38. Brahe Basket forced 21 Sanda Basket turnovers. The best player for the winners was Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Adrian Thorangen (195-93, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jordan Peltier (188-95) who recorded 14 points and guard Albin Eriksson (189-96) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Sanda Basket's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Brahe Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alvik Basket and Boras II. Loser Sanda Basket still closes the standings with six games lost. Brahe Basket will face league's leader Talje Knights on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sanda Basket will play against the league's second-placed Helsingborg (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
