Top ranked SIDEn Torun (18-3) recorded its third loss in Dabrowa Gornicza on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked MKS DG (13-8) 84-69. The game was mostly controlled by MKS DG. SIDEn Torun managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. MKS DG looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84, agency: Promotex) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Pawel Zmarlak (195-82) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four MKS DG players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Lukasz Zytko (185-81) who recorded 15 points and 5 assists and Aleks Perka (201-87, college: Rice) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. SIDEn Torun's coach Grzegorz Sowinski rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS DG moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. SIDEn Torun at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. MKS DG is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Spojnia (#14) in Stargard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SIDEn Torun will play at home against Stal Ostrow (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
