There was no surprise in Avila where 12th ranked Azpeitia (6-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (11-7) 83-77 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-77. Fontedoso Carrefour made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Forward Adrian Mendez (195-93) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. point guard Arturo Fernandez (182-90) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
