Date: February 22, 2014
Rather expected game when 8th ranked Osaka Evessa (14-21) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (16-19) 90-67. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fukuoka Rizing outrebounded Osaka Evessa 37-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Osaka Evessa's players. It was a good game for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Serbian power forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) answered with 21 points and American swingman D'Andre Bell (198-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to fifth place. Osaka Evessa at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 21 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be again Osaka Evessa (#8) at home.
