Important game to mention about took place in Les Milles. Ninth ranked Pays d'Aix (7-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked SIG (8-8) 76-73 on Saturday evening. Pays d'Aix players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Kelly Corre (180-91) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Darline NSoki (182-89) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for SIG. Four Pays d'Aix and five SIG players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pays d'Aix. They moved-up to eighth place. SIG lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with LTB 29. Pays d'Aix will play against higher ranked Le Havre (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SIG will play against Dunkerque and hopes to get back on the winning track.
