Regular Season Round 22: Huima - TuRi 85-56

Rather expected game in Aanekoski where 8th ranked TuRi (4-16) was crushed by fifth ranked Aanekosken (9-10) 85-56. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken. TuRi was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TuRi 47-29 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandi Davis (183-83, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Aanekosken's coach Mervi Nurmi felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Margaret Makela (181-90) replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Camilla Gronberg (179-94) added 14 points in the effort for TuRi. Aanekosken maintains fifth position with 9-10 record. TuRi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 16 games lost. Aanekosken's next round opponent will be Kerava Energia Team (#6) on the road.
