Regular Season Round 24: Denso Iris - Toyota B SR 63-50

Very expected game in Kariya where 7th ranked Toyota B SR (9-15) was defeated by second ranked Denso Iris (20-4) 63-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Toyota B SR managed to win second period 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and international forward Arisa Fujiwara (175-87) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Denso Iris have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-4 record having just two points less than leader JX Sunflowers. Toyota B SR at the other side keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost. Denso Iris will again meet Toyota B SR (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Toyota B SR will have a break next round.
