Very important is a road loss of first ranked Basket ROW (11-12) against fourth ranked MKS Konin (2-21) on Sunday night. Visiting Basket ROW was defeated by MKS Konin in a tough game in Konin 69-77. The hosts were already 11 points ahead at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 20-16 last quarter charge of Basket ROW cut the lead to 77-69 at the end of the game. MKS Konin made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Forward Iwona Plociennik (182-88) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Elzbieta Pazdzierska (170-88, agency: Promotex) accounted for 21 points. American guard Rebecca Harris (176-86, college: Illinois) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and forward Anna Kuncewicz (186-88, agency: Promotex) added 16 points respectively for Basket ROW in the defeat. Four Basket ROW players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted MKS Konin maintains fourth place in Places 7-10 with 2-21 record. Basket ROW at the other side still keeps top position with 12 games lost. MKS Konin's next round opponent will be higher ranked Widzew (#3) in Lodz and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basket ROW will play at home against the league's second-placed Riviera Gdynia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
