Second Stage Round 6: LF Future - Uppsala KFUM 77-78

A very interesting game took place in Lulea. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th ranked LF Future (2-4) to first ranked KFUM Uppsala (5-1) 78-77 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of LF Future. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But LF Future won third quarter 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Uppsala forced 19 LF Future turnovers and had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Swingman Simon Ezra (197-94) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) supported him with 3 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Erik Edin (185-91) did not help to save the game for LF Future. DR Congolese center Tresor Saya (203-84) added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KFUM Uppsala have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Helsingborg. LF Future at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. KFUM Uppsala's next round opponent will be Orongo Dragons (#7) in Sundsvall where they are favorite. LF Future will play at home against Solna Branten and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
