No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Casalpusterlengo (14-9) defeated at home 8th ranked Lucca (12-11) 88-79 on Sunday. The game without a history. Casalpusterlengo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American Alvin Young (188-75, college: Niagara) who scored 25 points and 5 assists. Power forward Alberto Chiumenti (204-87, agency: Players Group) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Walter Santarossa (200-78) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Casalpusterlengo. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Lucca dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Casalpusterlengo will face P.Mantovana (#10) in Mirandola in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
