No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Angelico Biella (14-9) beat on the road 10th ranked Novipiu Casale (11-12) 75-67 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Novipiu Casale won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Two Points) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Four Angelico Biella players scored in double figures. Angelico Biella's coach Fabio Corbani allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American David Jackson (193-86, college: W.Illinois) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) added 21 points respectively for Novipiu Casale in the defeat. Angelico Biella have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sigma BRC and Tezenis VE. Novipiu Casale at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with FCM Ferentino. Angelico Biella will meet at home Sigma Barcellona (#4) in the next round. Novipiu Casale will play against Lighthouse TR (#7) in Trapani and hope to secure a win.
