Very expected game when 11th ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-14) lost on the road to seventh ranked Hapoel Holon (10-9) 90-74. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Holon. Bnei Hasharon was better in fourth quarter 28-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Laurence Bowers (203, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) who added 22 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. American point guard Stanley Burrell (191-84) responded with 9 points and 8 assists and guard Aviram Zelkovits (193-89) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Holon maintains seventh position with 10-9 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Holon will play against higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
