Regular Season Round 23: FCM Ferentino - Trieste 84-89

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked FCM Ferentino (11-12) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Pallacanestro Triest (9-14) 89-84 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FCM Ferentino won fourth quarter 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St.) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Will Harris (197-86, college: Albany) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) came up with 29 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for FCM Ferentino in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pallacanestro Triest maintains thirteenth place with 9-14 record. FCM Ferentino at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Novipiu Casale. Pallacanestro Triest will meet at home higher ranked PMS Torino (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FCM Ferentino will play against C.de Latte BRE (#9) in Brescia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
