A very close game took place in Sendai between Sendai 89ers and Niigata Albirex. Eighth ranked Sendai 89ers (16-18) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Niigata Albirex (22-13). Sendai 89ers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Aomori Watts and Yokohama BC. Loser Niigata Albirex keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Sendai 89ers will meet Gunma (#10) on the road in the next round. Niigata Albirex will play against Iwate Big Bulls (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
