Important game to mention about took place in Sesto San Giovanni. Top-ranked San Giovanni (4-0) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Vicenza (1-3) 49-47 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. San Giovanni dominated on the defensive end, holding Vicenza to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 19 Vicenza turnovers. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Giulia Arturi (175-87, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. San Giovanni have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted San Giovanni maintains first position in Promotion Group A with 4-0 record, which they share with Torino and Genova. Vicenza at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. San Giovanni will have a break next round.
