Regular Season Round 23: PMS Torino - Napoli Basket 74-73

Twelfth-ranked Napoli Basket (10-13) was very close to win a game against third ranked PMS Torino (16-7). PMS Torino managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Napoli Basket took an 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then PMS Torino took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 1 point. It was a great evening for international forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) helped adding 7 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Marco Ceron (195-92) responded with 27 points and American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St., agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. PMS Torino moved-up to second place, which they share with Upea CdO. Napoli Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost. PMS Torino will play against Pallacanestro Triest (#13) in Trieste in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Napoli Basket will play at home against the league's second-placed Upea CdO and hopes to get back on the winning track.
