Bottom-ranked BK Almaty (0-20) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to fourth ranked Kaspiy Aktau (9-12) 112-69 on Monday evening. The game without a history. Kaspiy Aktau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to BK Almaty's 40. Kaspiy Aktau forced 25 BK Almaty turnovers and outrebounded them 44-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Russian forward Pavel Mikheev (200-83) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Kyrgyzstani guard Zhanysh Erns Uulu (190-93) who added 21 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Kaspiy Aktau players scored in double figures. Kaspiy Aktau's coach Oleg Kiselev felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side swingman Anton Kotenko (193-84) responded with 30 points and 4 assists and power forward Alimbek Orazov (199-93) scored 12 points. Kaspiy Aktau maintains fourth position with 9-12 record. Loser BK Almaty still closes the standings. Kaspiy Aktau will face league's leader BC Astana at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BK Almaty will play against the league's second-placed Barsy Atyrau (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
