There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (14-17) defeated on the road higher ranked Hyeres-Toulon (17-14) 82-66 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. Boulazac Basket made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) fired 17 points for the winners. Aurelien Salmon (203-87) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Pierre Pierce (193-83, college: Iowa) produced 20 points and 4 assists and point guard Axel Julien (185-92) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Boulazac Basket moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Souffel. Loser Hyeres-Toulon dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Boulazac Basket will face Lille Metropole (#17) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
