There was no surprise when 9th ranked Mickiewicz (7-13) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Pogon Prudnik (11-9) 87-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Pogon Prudnik. Mickiewicz was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Mickiewicz was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Adam Cichon (203-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Kacper Stalicki (195-92) who added 24 points and 4 steals during the contest. Forward Lukasz Kosmowski (196-83) responded with 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Mateusz Migala (199-94) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pogon Prudnik maintains sixth position in Group B with 11-9 record. Loser Mickiewicz keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face higher ranked Alba Chorzow (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mickiewicz will play against the league's second-placed GTK Gliwice (#2) and hope to win that game.
