Seventh ranked Champville won an overtime thriller against second-ranked Sagesse by one point 94-93 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sagesse. Sagesse trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-10 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 14-15. Sagesse was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American power forward Philip Tabet (205-87, college: S.Alabama) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Champville players scored in double figures. American forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import center Chris Daniels (212-84, college: Limoges) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Champville (3-5) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tadamon. Sagesse at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Champville will face league's leader Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sagesse will play against Tadamon and hope to win that game.
