Regular Season Round 35: Nova Ves - Inter Bratislava 73-80

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Nova Ves (3-28) were defeated at home by first ranked Inter Bratislava (26-6) 80-73 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 24-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 28. Nova Ves were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was international Michal Batka (204-87) who scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 15 points. Swingman Vladimir Hovanak (193-82) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Polish forward Kacper Sek (200-91) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Nova Ves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Inter Bratislava have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 26-6 record. Nova Ves at the other side stay dead last with 28 lost games. Inter Bratislava will have a break next round. Nova Ves will play on the road against Rieker KN (#5) in Komarno and hope to win that game.
